If the Centre is unable to accept your body for technical or logistic reasons, the doctor who certifies your death will promptly identify another Centre, still abiding by the criteria of territorial proximity.

If no Centre is able to accept your body because of failure to meet suitability requirements, delayed transportation or failure to obtain a medical certificate confirming the absence of infectious or diffusive diseases, then family members will be able to proceed independently with burial or cremation.
